Getting to Know Ada’s McKayla Rios – Presented by Stockton Automotive

VYPE: What are your personal goals this year and how is the season going?

McKayla: My personal goal for this year is to finish my school year with all A’s. My season just finished, but I am ready to begin my junior year.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

McKayla: The most fun I had would be going and supporting other sports. I love cheering for my friends!

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

McKayla: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Meyer, my Spanish teacher. She has helped me and encouraged me the most since I moved from Mexico to Ada.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

McKayla: My favorite memory is when I made the first goal of my sophomore season.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

McKayla: My teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Araceli Cruz because she is so encouraging. When I would get tired at practice, she always encouraged me to keep going.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

McKayla: I believe that we all have the same impression of our Coach. My teammates that always made me laugh the most in practice and games were Araceli Cruz and Ariana Solorio.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

McKayla: I would love to visit New York with my mom and sisters to explore new places.

VYPE: If we gave you 500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

McKayla: Honestly, I would save the money in my savings for college, but if I had to spend it, I would buy new cleats, new soccer balls, and a new computer.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

McKayla: I would like to thank my abuela for giving me the opportunity to study at Ada High, and my coaches- Coach Mac and Coach Jones for always pushing me to be my best and encouraging me.
