Coach Kyle Bohannon has called senior Phillip Cravatt a hard worker and the unsung hero of this team. We caught up with Cravatt to get his thoughts on the team and being called its unsung hero.
VYPE: Coach calls you the unsung hero of your team. What does that mean to you and how do you define that term?
Cravatt: I am the second wrestler at duels so, my match sets the pace for the rest of my teammates. Following my match, I motivate my teammates by encouraging them to give 100 percent in their matches.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Cravatt: Wrestling is usually perceived as an individual sport however, having a supportive team is uplifting and encouraging. Each wrestler supports each other, win or lose.
VYPE: Favorite pre-match and post-match meal?
Cravatt: When eating before a match I go for celery and peanut butter. This meal doesn’t affect my weight but also allows me to get the energy I need. After the duel, I will eat chicken breast because it is easy to sweat it out to keep my weight.
