The annual Ada All Sports Golf Scramble is more than just a day on the course—it’s a powerful tradition that brings the community together to support Cougar Athletics. This year’s event, set for Monday, July 14th at Oak Hills Country Club, carries a special significance as it honors one of Ada’s most dedicated champions of education and athletics: Mr. Mike Anderson.
Mike Anderson’s legacy with Ada City Schools spans an impressive 31 years. A proud Cougar himself, Anderson once made his mark on the court as a high school basketball standout before continuing his playing career at the collegiate level. But it was his return home that truly shaped generations of Ada students and athletes. He came back to his alma mater to serve as head basketball coach, then continued to lead as athletic director, and ultimately as Superintendent of Schools—a role he has held with distinction until his upcoming retirement at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
This year’s scramble is a fitting tribute to a man who has never stopped giving back to Ada. Mike Anderson’s tireless commitment to building strong programs, supporting student-athletes, and improving the school system has made a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come.
The Golf Scramble is the only event of its kind that directly supports all sports within Ada High School’s athletic department. It plays a vital role in generating funds that benefit every team and athlete, helping to ensure continued excellence across all programs. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or a new face to the Ada athletic community, your participation makes a difference.
We invite you to join us for a memorable day of golf, fun, and fellowship in celebration of Cougar pride and Mike Anderson’s incredible legacy.
