Ada’s Kaydence “KK” Beale
Ada freshman Kaydence “KK” Beale is already building a name for herself across three sports, competing in softball, wrestling, and track while continuing to grow into a confident leader both on and off the field.
One of her biggest early highlights came at the Top Gun Heritage tournament, where she launched her first over-the-fence home run — a moment she still remembers clearly.
“I just remember rounding the bases and realizing it actually went out,” Beale said. “It showed me that all the extra work really does pay off if you stick with it.”
That sense of growth has followed her into every part of her athletic journey. In softball, Beale credits Ada Junior High coach Taylor Henry for helping her learn how to respond to challenges and stay steady through ups and downs.
“She’s taught me that not every game or practice is going to go your way, but you can always find something good in it,” Beale said. “That’s helped me become more confident and not get down on myself as much.”
On the wrestling mat, Beale has also leaned on former teammate Makenna Howell, who has spent extra time helping younger teammates prepare for matches and learn new techniques.
“Makenna never made it feel like she was too busy to help us,” Beale said. “She would stay after practice and show us things over and over until we got it right. That kind of leadership really sticks with you.”
Beale said being an Ada Cougar has shaped her identity as an athlete and a student.
“Growing up in Ada means a lot to me,” she said. “When I wear the block A, I feel like I’m representing more than just myself. I’m representing my whole community.”
Outside of competition, she gives softball lessons to younger players and participates in student council. She also carries advice from professional catcher Michaela Edenfield, who once told her, “To be a catcher you have to love the sport.”
Beale said that message, along with the unwavering support of her parents, Marcus and Yvonne Beale, keeps her motivated every season. Their encouragement through the highs and lows of competition has helped her stay focused, confident and committed to reaching her goals year after year.
