Only in her sophomore season, Ada High School’s Jakobi Williams is making a name for herself as one of the top young prospects in Oklahoma. Williams hasn’t played as long as some of her peers, but she picked the sport up quickly and plays a tough position.
“I’ve only played softball for school, so probably only four years and I play first base,” said Williams.
The sophomore said she really enjoys playing with this group of teammates.
“I love how I can talk to anyone at any time, and they will listen and how we can have conflict outside of the field but as soon as we step on the field all of that goes away so we can win a game,” said Williams.
Also a member of the basketball team and the Spanish Club, Williams is excited to see what the next few years has in store for her. Once she graduates, Williams said she has big plans for her future.
“After I graduate, I want to go to Louisiana State University or the University of Oklahoma and do physical therapy, and then work at a high school for that,” said Williams.
