Ada’s Landyn Owens has been named to the all-state team by the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaching Association (OGBCA).
Owens has amassed 1406 total points for the Cougars. She is signed to play for the University of Hartford next season. Head Coach Christie Jennings had high praise for Owens.
“Landyn finished her career second in all time scoring in the 5 on 5 era,” Jennings said. “She is a complete player on both ends of the floor. In her junior and senior year, she took 49 charges and averaged over 5 rebounds and 3 assists in her senior season. She is one of the most competitive players I’ve ever coached. She is very deserving of this honor.”
