VYPE: What preparation have you taken this off-season to better equip yourself for the upcoming season?
Devon MacCollister: This offseason, I have worked on my catch and shoot, and off-dribble shot.
VYPE: What matchup are you most looking forward to this season?
DM: My matchup I’m most looking forward to is probably Tuttle because I’ve never played them before. Also, Plainveiwbecause my friend plays for them,
VYPE: Who was your favorite teacher and how were they influential in your life?
DM: My favorite teacher is Shari Manwell because she helps me a lot outside of school and can be easily talked to.
VYPE: Who has been your favorite coach throughout your career and how did they impact you as a player?
DM: My favorite coach has been Kyle Caufield. He has impacted me to get out of my comfort zone and become the player I am today.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
DM: My sport has taught me that you have to work hard for what you want to achieve.
VYPE: Did you have any teammates that you admire or that supported you?
DM: I admire all my teammates and they all support me as if we are family.
VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish this season (individual or team goals)?
DM: My individual goal this year is to make All-State, and my team goal is to win the State Championship.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory in your sport?
DM: My favorite memory so far has definitely been my sophomore year at the Carl Albert Tournament because we made a music video in the locker room.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
DM: My plans after high school are to attend college to play basketball and study physical therapy.
