

Coming into the 2022 cross country season, Ada High School under the leadership of head coach Cole Jones for the boys team and Leslie Landrum for the girls, both have several runners to watch this season.
Both teams have exciting underclassmen with tremendous potential. Timothy Butler is turning heads and looking to help lead the boys team this season despite being an underclassman. Quin Stevens is another runner the Ada Cougars are excited to have representing the school this season. Other athletes to watch include Jarryd Direen, Ben Rhynes, Bryce Wood, Emilio Benton, Collin Direen, Caden Mitchell, Sam Rhynes, Jose Palma, Carver Gregory, and Elliot Riden.
At the Wolverine Invitational, Jose Palma (Sr.) finished 8 th crossing the line at 13:00.00 in the two-mile run. Butler also grabbed a top twenty finish coming in at 13:52.00. Seniors Sam Rhynes and Elliot Riden stopped the clock at 13:57.00 and 13:58.00 respectively. Quin Stevens also cracked the top 25.
Coach Landrum has her share of talented runners this season and is hopeful this team can put some solid runs together. During the Wolverine Invitational, Beans Factor finished the run in 6 th place with a time of 6:56.00 while teammate Ellababe Fisher crossed the line in 17th at 7:24.30. Isabel Turner had a good run as well with a time of 8:06.00.
Other team members to watch this season include Nina Benton, Lilly Harper, Reilly Vietzke, McKayla Rios, Isabella King, and Ines Serra Soloria.
